Jim Krutz has been a private teacher since 1981 and an instructor at Concordia University since 1994. He has also taught at Doane University since 1998.
Krutz is an active clinician, presenting workshops for individual schools, honor bands and the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association. He enjoys regularly working with area 5th- through 12th-grade bands as a percussion specialist.
He has been repairing musical instruments for over 30 years, working as the percussion specialist for Dietze Music House and now independently in his own shop in Seward.
His ensemble performances include classical, contemporary Christian, jazz, rock, country, and Brazilian music. He is involved with the Percussive Arts Society and has served as an executive board member in Nebraska.
