Here's why we should celebrate Concordia University football, from the people that know best.
No. 20 Concordia (2-0) is set to open up its GPAC schedule on Saturday when Northwestern (0-2) visits Bulldog Stadium for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
On the heels of a 2-0 start, the Concordia football program has earned its highest national ranking since the 2013 season. The Bulldogs checked in at No. 20 in Monday's (Sept. 12) poll.
On Monday (Sept. 12) the conference named senior Michael Hedlund the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player of the Week.
Behind big plays from its stars and a monster game from senior linebacker Michael Hedlund, Concordia emerged from Ottawa, Kan., with a 2-0 record.
The first road test of the 2016 season awaits Concordia on Saturday. The Bulldogs will take on a foe from the KCAC for a second-straight week, this time under the lights.
For the fourth-straight year, Concordia football claimed victory in its season opener. Jared Garcia caught a pair of touchdown passes to help lift the Bulldogs to a 23-7 win over the University of Saint Mary.
