2025 Cattle Classic Basketball Tournament

The 26th annual Cattle Classic, held Nov. 7-8, 2025, features four men's games and four women's games.

The event, co-sponsored by Concordia and Cattle Bank & Trust, raises money and food for the Blue Valley Community Action's Food Pantry. Pac N Save of Seward will match all canned food donations.

Sunday, Nov. 2

Basketball Clinic for girls grades 3-5 will be held from noon - 2 p.m. inside Friedrich Arena on the Concordia University campus. The boys camp for grades 3-5 will run from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. The deadline for registration is Friday, Oct 31.

Friday, Nov. 7

  • Women: Dakota Wesleyan University vs. MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.), 2 p.m.
  • Women: Concordia vs. Arizona Christian University, 4 p.m.
  • Men: Concordia vs. Oklahoma City University, 6 p.m.
  • Men: Hastings College vs. Clarke University (Iowa), 8 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 8

  • Women: Dakota Wesleyan University vs. Arizona Christian University, 10 a.m.
  • Women: Concordia vs. MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.), 12 p.m.
  • Men: Concordia vs. Clarke University (Iowa), 2 p.m.
  • Men: Hastings College vs. Oklahoma City University, 4 p.m.

Admission information

The price of admission to the games is as follows:

  • For adults
    • 10 cans or $10 for weekend pass
    • 6 cans or $6 per game
  • Concordia students
    • 6 cans or $6 for weekend pass
    • 3 cans or $2 per game
  • Children
    • 6 cans or $6 for weekend pass
    • 3 cans or $2 per game
    • (youth who participate in the basketball clinic are admitted free; also, children five and under are admitted free)

No passes.

Basketball clinic for grades 3-5

Boys and girls in grades 3, 4 and 5 are invited to join us prior to the tournament for a basketball clinic in the Walz Human Performance Complex (Friedrich Arena) on the campus of Concordia University. The clinic will be hosted by Concordia coaches and players.

  • Girls - Sunday, Nov. 2 from noon - 2 p.m.
  • Boys - Sunday, Nov. 2 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

A free clinic T-shirt and poster will be provided. Participants are also admitted free to Cattle Classic Tournament games, Nov. 7-8.

Cost: The requested donation for each participant is six cans of food.
