    Game Notes: Concordia to take on Briar Cliff in final road game of 2022

    In its final road game of 2022, Concordia will head to Briar Cliff for a matchup with the Chargers. The Bulldogs (3-5) own a 16-3 all-time series record after wining the 2021 matchup, 61-21, in Seward.

    Five-hundred yards of offensive output wasn’t quite enough on Saturday (Oct. 29) as the Concordia University Football team suffered another close loss. No. 14 Midland defeated the Bulldogs, 41-31, despite three touchdowns from Luke Lang.

    The Bulldogs came within an eyelash of extending their win streak in last week's 29-28 loss to Dordt. After three in a row at home, Concordia will take on rival Midland in Fremont on Saturday for the 67th all-time series meeting.

    McGarvie's school record leads to GPAC Offensive Player of the Week award

    A school record performance versus Dordt led to quarterback DJ McGarvie being named the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week. McGarvie threw for 458 yards and four touchdowns while completing 34 passes.

    Concordia couldn't hang onto a 28-20 fourth quarter lead and had its three-game win streak snapped by Dordt on Saturday (Oct. 22). In the 29-28 defeat, quarterback DJ McGarvie broke the program record for passing yards in a game.

    Concordia will attempt to continue its surge this Saturday as it hosts Dordt on Saturday. The Bulldogs have strung together wins over Dakota Wesleyan, Jamestown and Mount Marty as the offense has found its identity.

    Bulldogs use big plays to push win streak to three

    Big plays on both sides of the ball, special teams miscues and another school record for Korrell Koehlmoos were part of the story on Saturday (Oct. 15). The Bulldogs racked up 431 yards of offense while defeating Mount Marty, 47-24.

    Polley named GPAC Defensive Player of the Week

    A rising star on the interior of the Concordia defensive line, Devon Polley has been recognized as the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week. Polley produced four tackles, 2.5 sacks and two quarterback hurries in the win over Jamestown.

    McGarvie deals, Koehlmoos breaks school record as Dawgs topple Jamestown

    The offense put together its best day of the season behind a prolific passing attack quarterbacked by DJ McGarvie. The Bulldogs piled up more than 500 yards and won 30-15 as Korrell Koehlmoos became the program's all-time leading pass catcher.
