On Sept. 13, Concordia University, Nebraska announced a special online Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Master of Arts in School Counseling (M.A.S.C.) tuition rate of $340 per credit hour for Nebraska residents and Lutheran educators, the lowest online M.Ed. tuition found in the state and the Concordia University System.

On Sept. 13, Concordia University, Nebraska announced a special online Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Master of Arts in School Counseling (M.A.S.C.) tuition rate for Nebraska residents of $340 per credit hour, the lowest online M.Ed. tuition found in the state and the Concordia University System.

“Originally founded as a teacher’s college in 1894, Concordia understands the importance of serving our educators,” said Dr. Bernard Bull, Concordia president. "Concordia's Master of Education programs have equipped thousands of teachers, administrators and education professionals for decades. Our educators here in Nebraska and those in Lutheran schools around the world are doing valuable work and we want to honor them through this special rate that aligns with our mission.”

Through the Lutheran Guarantee, graduate students who are members of an LCMS congregation, work for a Lutheran school, church or other entity, or are alums of a Concordia University System school, will qualify for this special $340 per credit hour rate.

Concordia’s M.Ed. and M.A.S.C. programs are conducted fully online, taught by expert faculty who provide actionable content students can use in their classrooms immediately. With online-only instruction, students experience a collaborative learning community in each course in an asynchronous learning environment and without physically attending class.

“Our educators are being pulled in many directions between their work, home and social lives, so our goal is to provide them with streamlined programs that they can complete on their own schedules while moving up on the pay scale quickly,” said Dr. Lorinda Sankey, dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.
