Catherine Herbener earned a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Nebraska Wesleyan University and an M.M. in piano performance from Michigan State University. Her primary teachers included Ralph Votapek and Beth Miller Harrod.
Herbener appears as a collaborative pianist in recitals throughout the United States. She frequently performs with oboist William McMullen. The pair have appeared at many conferences and have recorded on Crystal Records and Vienna Modern Masters.
Herbener operates a piano studio in Lincoln, Nebraska. She teaches students of all ages.
