Pete Kenow Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations
"I firmly believe that through the Concordia experience, we are sending students out into the world that will grow God’s kingdom a variety of ways."
Pete Kenow works with alumni and friends of the university who support Concordia’s mission through gifts, primarily major gifts, pledges, and deferred gifts. He has worked for Concordia since 1995, but he is also an alumnus. He got his B.S. in Elementary Ed and DCE certificate from Concordia in 1988, and married Beth, another Concordia graduate. They have four children.
Pete enjoys building memories with his family, home improvement projects, being outdoors and spending time at the family cabin.
What do you enjoy about working here?
My Concordia years were some of the best times in many ways. During those years, I grew in my faith, discovered more of my own God-given gifts and how I would use them in my career and vocation; things I still am working on today. Being able to provide the same opportunities for today’s students and generations to come is what drives me in my work here. I firmly believe that through the Concordia experience, we are sending students out into the world that will grow God’s kingdom a variety of ways.
What’s it like to serve at Concordia?
It’s great working in a place where your faith is so openly displayed and encouraged to grow. We take many things for granted such as the lack of vulgar language and the genuine care for fellow colleagues but they are tremendous blessings of serving here.
