Challenging academic programs
- Undergraduate programs—Discover your passion from among our more than 50 rigorous and diverse majors and concentrations ranging from art to biology to music to sports communication, as well as pre-professional programs in engineering, law, medicine and other health careers, seminary and social work. We’ll help you match your interests and goals with an academic program that broadens your mind and prepares you well for a career or graduate school—and for life.
- Graduate programs—Continue your education with programs including a Master of Education, Master of Science in Family Life Ministry, Master of Parish Education, Director of Christian Education (DCE) Specialist and Family Life Certification. Our Master of Education program offers a variety of concentrations including early childhood education, elementary administration, secondary administration and literacy.
- Degree completion programs—Earn a bachelor of arts degree in organizational management while continuing to work and maintain a family and social life. Core courses for the major can be completed in about 20 months. You can take accelerated evening classes on-site at facilities in Columbus and Seward or online, which allows you to study when you want. Class sizes vary from 12 to 22 students.
- International programs—Polish your English skills with English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and other programs to help you become acclimated to college life in a new country.
Committed facultyAt Concordia, you'll find instructors committed to your success. Our experienced full-time faculty -- nearly 80 percent of which hold the highest degrees in their fields -- will teach your classes. In addition, all full-time faculty are members of LCMS congregations, ensuring that the core values of a Christian education are incorporated into the classroom.
Small class sizes
Small class sizes mean you'll receive a personal education at Concordia. The average class size is 25, with a student-faculty ratio of 14-to-1.

Distinctive academic facilities
At Concordia, you'll learn and study in facilities such as: the Thom Leadership Education Center, home to classrooms, an auditorium, a distance learning classroom, a computer laboratory, a computer-based writing laboratory and our integrated fine arts and graphic design facility.
You can also find a number of computer laboratories throughout other campus buildings:
- In our library and Instructional Technology Center, you can access collections totaling about 232,000 volumes and various other multimedia items. In addition, the library subscribes to about 550 current periodical and journal titles and a dozen newspapers from major metropolitan areas.
- Seven OPAC terminals and a number of personal computers provide electronic access to the collection within the library, while similar access is available to students and faculty anywhere on campus from a variety of sources, including PCs within residence hall rooms.
