Annual book fair at Concordia to feature half-price Scholastic titles

Books and more for children, teachers, parents and other community members will be on sale for half price at Concordia's annual Half-Price Scholastic Book Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 13 to April 15 and from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 16. The fair will be held in room 113 of the Thom Leadership Education Center on Concordia’s campus.

"Our annual book fair is such a great opportunity for children and adults to obtain excellent books at one-half their regular price," Dr. Leah Serck said. Serck, an emeritus professor of education and current adjunct instructor, has organized the book fair for many years, recruiting local volunteers and retired teachers to help run the event.

The fair offers a variety of children’s books and junior fiction titles, among other kinds of books. Advanced orders are not accepted, but books may be reordered if copies at the book fair are out of stock.
