In the type of GPAC barn burner that has characterized the early conference season, the Concordia University men’s basketball team held off red-hot Dordt inside Walz Arena on Wednesday night.
The Concordia men’s basketball team will host Dordt College and Mount Marty College this week. The Defenders will be in town on Wednesday, Dec. 9 for an 8 p.m. tipoff. The Lancers will travel on Saturday, Dec. 12 with start time slated for 4 p.m.
The (RV) Concordia men’s basketball team was defeated 80-92 by the eighth-ranked Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan. Robby Thomas and Jamie Pearson each put up 20 points Saturday afternoon in the Corn Palace.
The Concordia University men’s basketball team controlled most of the second half in Wednesday night’s rivalry heart stopper. Unfortunately, it was the hearts of the Bulldogs that ceased when Cole Klingsporn’s trey from the right corner beat the buzzer and lifted visiting Nebraska Wesleyan to an 89-88 win inside Walz Arena.
The Concordia men’s basketball team will play a contest at home and one on the road this week. The Bulldogs will take on Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday with start time slated for 8 p.m. inside Walz Arena before traveling to Dakota Wesleyan for a 4 p.m. tipoff on Saturday.
Nothing has come easy in GPAC play. The Concordia University men’s basketball team relinquished a 12-point first-half lead and then torched the nets over the final 20 minutes to pull out an 84-81 win at Doane (3-7, 1-2 GPAC) on Tuesday night.
The Concordia men’s basketball team has one contest this week. The Bulldogs will face the Doane Tigers on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Start time is slated for 8 p.m. in Crete, Neb.
A combined 30 treys blistered the nets as part of a shootout inside Walz Arena on Saturday evening. After giving up a five-point lead in the final 20 seconds of regulation, the Concordia University men’s basketball team dominated the overtime session on the way to a 110-99 victory over visiting Morningside.
The Bulldogs and Broncos traded blows throughout an entertaining second half only to have David Plain deliver the knockout punch in the final minutes. After playing catch up most of the second half, the Concordia University men’s basketball team fell, 87-80, in Wednesday night’s GPAC opener at Hastings.
