Concordia’s IMPROVables wrap up a season of entertainment

Concordia University, Nebraska’s improv team has had several events this year, with two more still to come. These include: 

  • Tuesday, April 1 -- April Fool’s show in downtown Seward 

  • Friday, April 25 -- Long-form show and senior night 

The group practices every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 – 10:00 pm in the Black Box Theatre, located in the Borland Center for Music and Theatre. The group is a subset of the Curtain Club, and is open to all students to join or just to watch as many others do. 

The improv group has seen a significant increase in event attendance this year, with the average attendance being almost double the average attendance last school year. Most audience members are freshman and sophomores, indicating more growth over the upcoming years. In addition, the group members have also become more confident and passionate about their art and hosted seven total events as opposed to four total events the year before.  

Theatre at Concordia University, Nebraska is an active part of campus life and well-integrated into a variety of degrees in education and liberal arts programs. Full-length productions and a variety of student-directed one acts bring together students from all disciplines to offer the campus and surrounding communities excellent theatre. Learn more about Concordia’s theatre program here
