Joel Zander serves as Director of Education and Youth at Faith Lutheran Church, near Flint, Michigan, where he has faithfully served since 2019. In this role, he provides leadership and spiritual formation for youth and families. Since 2000, he has served as a Director of Christian Education in congregations in Minnesota, Oregon and Michigan.
Zander holds a Master of Science in Family Life Education from Concordia University, Nebraska, and a Bachelor of Arts in Parish Education and Administration from Concordia University, St. Paul. He is especially excited to teach Family Resource Management and has a particular interest in contributing to courses within the Family Ministry degree program. His work reflects a deep commitment to strengthening families and equipping ministry leaders with practical tools and Christ-centered guidance.
He has been married to his wife, Krissa, since 2004, and together they have three sons. In his free time, Joel enjoys spending time outdoors camping, biking, hiking and cross-country skiing during the winter months.
