Assistant Professor of Education, Director of Secondary Education

Dr. David Rindt serves at Concordia University, Nebraska as assistant professor of education and is also the director of secondary education. In this role, he works to prepare undergraduate students to be equipped for life in their upcoming classroom experiences, both in student teaching and in their teaching careers that lie beyond their time at Concordia. He supervises student teachers and also advises secondary education majors in their coursework at the university. He balances serving in the classroom with coordinating important field experiences students where they are able to put principles into practice.  

Rindt attended Concordia University, Wisconsin. He has a bachelor of arts in secondary education and a doctorate in leadership and continuous improvement. This is his first year at Concordia Nebraska.  

His career in Lutheran church work has given him the opportunity to serve in a variety of unique Christian ministry settings. He served as a 7th grade teacher and junior high principal in Fremont, California for seven years, served as assistant principal at The Lutheran High School of Kansas City for three years, and then served as principal of Christ Lutheran School in Overland Park, Kansas prior to coming to the university.    

Rindt and his wife Kelly have three children. The family enjoys being outside, riding bikes and playing games. They attend Messiah Lutheran Church in Lincoln. In his free time, he also enjoys golf, weight lifting, reading and playing games with his children.
