Junior Nolan Graupmann studying exercise science, biology and sports psychology

Junior Nolan Graupmann of Goddard, Kansas, is majoring in exercise science at Concordia University, Nebraska and minoring in biology and sports psychology. He is also on the university’s lifting sports team.
“I chose to study at Concordia because it feels like home to me. What makes Concordia unique is its amazing professors and the campus atmosphere,” he said. “I think what makes Concordia’s exercise science program different from other universities is the opportunities students have here to apply concepts from the classroom into real-world applications, working with athletes and peers in terms of sports science, athletic training or working with individuals in the Seward community.”
Graupmann found his way to Concordia Nebraska through one of the pastors at his home church.
“I chose to study at Concordia because it feels like home to me. What makes Concordia unique is its amazing professors and the campus atmosphere.”
“He attended school here and played sports here,” said Graupmann. “My favorite thing about Concordia so far is that everything that happens here is rooted in faith. There are so many opportunities to worship and grow your faith with the chapel every day, and different opportunities for Bible study, evening prayer and small things like professors saying a prayer before class.”
When he’s not in class or in the gym, you’ll find Graupmann spending time with his family or traveling. He enjoys going to the gym, being outdoors and simply spending quality time with friends and family.
He said his professors and coaches are guiding him and helping him to discover his purpose by challenging him to be the best version of himself that he can be.
“I think that my Concordia experience has prepared me for my vocation with servant leadership. Concordia has developed my faith through all the worship and Bible study opportunities, as well as learning more about biblical history in different classes,” he said. “My dream job is one where I get to serve others and be Christ’s light to those I interact with.”
Home of the Bulldogs, Concordia University, Nebraska's athletics program is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and competes primarily in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
