Concordia University, Nebraska staff, alumni and friends recently gathered to enjoy a seven-night Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. The university’s alumni relations department organizes Bulldogs on the Road group adventures annually to destinations around the globe.
“The special trip reiterated what our Concordia Nebraska community is all about,” said Concordia Nebraska Senior Director of Outreach, Relations and Engagement Jennifer Furr ‘97. “We came together from to explore God’s beautiful creation, study God’s word and enjoy fellowship with one another.”
Throughout the trip the group enjoyed devotions led by Mark L’Heureux ‘97, Aaron Kober, Lutheran Church Extension Fund Director of Synod Relations Rehema Kavugha ‘06, a presentation on vocation by university Regional Ambassador Carrie Kober ‘97, a presentation on wellness by university Director of Counseling Services Kathy L’Heureux ‘97 and university-focused presentations by Furr.

The adventure included a seven-night cruise on Celebrity Cruise’s ship Beyond, daily shore excursions at each port city, and swimming with dolphins, cooking classes, beach days, river tubing and more. Furr said about half of the trip’s attendees traveled with Bulldogs on the Road for the first time, and the other half had adventured with the group before.
The next Bulldogs on the Road adventure will take place May 13-26, 2026 where Concordia Nebraska faculty, staff, alumni and friends will travel to the Emerald Isle of Ireland. The matchless 10-night land excursion will explore the bustling city of Dublin, the charming village of Killarney and the dramatic West Coast near Galway. The trip will also include a performance by the Concordia Nebraska A Cappella Choir at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and the opportunity to enjoy two meals with the choir.
Concordia Nebraska's alumni family includes more than 23,000 throughout the country and across the globe. These servant leaders have touched the lives of thousands in their classrooms, offices, businesses, congregations and communities. Through their support in prayer, financial gifts and referrals of prospective students they keep Concordia a viable ministry for generations to come.
