A three-time First Team All-GPAC award winner, Taysha Rushton has collected the second All-America honor of her college basketball career. Rushton was named a 2022-23 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American on March 21.

A group of 11 Bulldogs from the Concordia University Women’s Basketball program have been honored as 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Six of the honorees are repeat award winners.
The Bulldogs ran into a buzz saw in the form top-seeded Thomas More in the second round of the 2023 national tournament. The Saints shot 58.2 percent and eliminated Concordia by a count of 98-69. Concordia finished at 20-12 overall.
Taysha Rushton supplied the offensive firepower and the Bulldogs put forth a nasty collective defensive effort in routing Columbia, 77-50, in the national tournament first round on Tuesday (March 7). Concordia held the Cougars to 29 percent shooting.
It’s back to The Bluegrass State for Concordia Women’s Basketball. The Bulldogs will head to Crestview Hills for first round action versus Columbia (Mo.) at the NAIA National Championship tournament on Tuesday (March 7).
