The GPAC office announced Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Wednesday. From Concordia, Stephanie Coley received the Hauff Mid America Sports/GPAC Field Athlete of the Week.
The Concordia track and field team competed in the second day of the Concordia Classic Indoor Meet on Saturday. The Bulldogs turned in 29 top-5 finishes over the two day meet.
The Concordia track & field team had four athletes compete in the first day of the Concordia Classic Indoor Meet on Friday. The opening day of the meet featured the women’s pentathlon and the first four events of the men’s heptathlon.
A school-recording breaking and NAIA-leading toss in the shot put elevated junior Zach Lurz to NAIA National Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week recognition.
In the first NAIA national rankings of 2016 released by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday, both Bulldog programs made top-five appearances.
The Concordia track & field team will host the Concordia Classic this Friday and Saturday. Events are tentatively set to begin at 3 p.m. on Friday and 8:45 a.m. Saturday.
Cody Boellstorff, Zach Lurz and Kim Wood each broke school records and six event titles were claimed by Concordia at Friday's Prairie Wolf Invite.
After turning in two NAIA national qualifying marks last week, including the nation's best one-mile time, Kim Wood has been named the NAIA's National Track Athlete of the Week.
The Concordia women’s track and field program has swept GPAC weekly honors. Kali Robb and Kim Wood were rewarded by the conference on Jan. 20.
