A historic season for the fifth-seeded Bulldogs will make a stop in Omaha for the opening round of the 2022 NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship. Concordia will take on Indiana Northwest inside Sokol Arena on Friday.
The GPAC champions won't have to go far for the opening round of the national tournament. As a No. 5 seed, they were assigned to play in Omaha against Indiana Northwest on March 11.
All five starters from the GPAC regular season and tournament champion Bulldogs earned all-conference honors. As the biggest standouts, Carter Kent and Gage Smith were named to the conference's first team.
Already a co-GPAC regular season champion, the Bulldogs were not satisfied until they were cutting down the nets on Tuesday (March 1). The program celebrated its second GPAC tourney title in two seasons, defeating Jamestown, 77-70.
Concordia Men's Basketball is getting set for the program's fifth GPAC tournament championship game appearance. The Bulldogs will host the conference final for the first time since 2005 when it was held in the PE Center Gym.
Friedrich Arena rocked and rolled as the Concordia Men’s Basketball team continued a magical ride on in the GPAC semifinals on Saturday (Feb. 26). Carter Kent's 15-foot game-winner lifted the Bulldogs to a 67-65 win over Doane.
It will be Concordia and Doane going head-to-head inside Friedrich Arena on Saturday with a spot in the GPAC tournament title game on the line. The two sides split their regular season meetings with the home team winning both times.
