When do residence halls close?
All residents are required to leave campus while residence halls areas are closed. Food service is not available. The schedule for 2011-2012 is as follows:
- Thanksgiving Break: Halls will close Saturday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m. and reopen Sunday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m.
- Christmas Break: Halls close Friday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. and reopen Sunday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m.
- Spring Break: Halls close Saturday, March 10, at 10 a.m. and reopen Sunday, March 18, at 10 a.m.
- May 4: Halls close to undergraduates at 10 a.m.
Students will have vacation checkout procedures posted in their living area prior to Thanksgiving, Christmas/semester and spring vacations. If flying to a holiday destination, students are advised to make their reservations early to avoid departure delay. End of the year check outs will take at least 30 minutes, and departure plans should be made with this in mind.
