Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a library card?
Your library card is your student ID. Your information is loaded into the system before your ID is issued, so starting on day one of the semester, you can come in and check things out!
How do I renew an item?
There are two ways to renew an item. The easiest is to go to your Library Account, select the items you'd like to renew, and click "Renew." You can also request items to be renewed at the front desk as well. You will need your ID, but you do not need the book or resource for the first renewal.
Does the library have fines?
Overdue items do come with fines, and those fines can restrict your student account.
When is the deadline to return checked items at the end of the semester?
All checked out items are due by the Wednesday of finals week.
Can I bring in outside food and drink?
It is ok to bring food and drink to the library in moderation. We get it. You may spend a lot of time here, and you need to recharge! However, we do ask that you be respectful of those around you. Please throw away all garbage, and if you make a mess, please clean it up! If you spill or there is a problem, please tell the front desk staff. We have cleaning supplies and can help you.
What are the library policies?
You can view checkout policies, lengths and fees, as well as library zones and full food and drink policies on our library policies page.
