Susan Mehl has been at Concordia University, Nebraska as a part time staff member since 2014, beginning as the Perkins Loan Coordinator. Since 2015 she has also processed LCMS District Financial Aid forms for church worker students and served as the VA School Certifying Official for Concordia’s students with VA Benefits. In 2021 she moved to the registrar’s office and added Registrar Support Specialist, mainly for graduate programs, to her existing roles. Supporting distinct populations within the Concordia community has been a fulfilling way for Susan to serve students who seek the unique Christian education experience that Concordia provides.

Mehl has sung in choral groups nearly her entire life, beginning in 4th grade and currently with the choir at St. John Lutheran Church.  She also enjoys baking, knitting, reading and travelling.

Mehl and her husband, John, an adjunct professor of Missions classes at Concordia, came to Seward after 20 years serving the LCMS as missionaries in Russia, Germany and Hong Kong.
