Rev. Daniel Lewis began teaching theology at Concordia University, Nebraska in 2024. Before joining the faculty, he served as pastor of Joy Lutheran Church in Cambridge, Minnesota (2017–2022), where he and his wife, Ellie, raised their young son on a hobby farm.
Rev. Lewis holds a B.A. in Theology and Philosophy from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota and an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in Doctrinal Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. His academic interests center on contemporary accounts of Lutheran theology, contemporary philosophy and theological method.
Outside of his academic work, Rev. Lewis enjoys drinking coffee, board games and playing croquet.

With a degree in theology from Concordia Nebraska, you will learn to think and read critically, speak clearly and persuasively, and better understand how religious convictions shape us ethically as members of the human community.
