Paul Berggren joined Concordia University, Nebraska in 2025 as the inaugural director of the Paul Scholars Program, a four-year work scholarship that equips students for Christ-centered leadership through meaningful work, coursework and mentorship.
Berggren brings a background in education, human resources, instructional technology and special education. He holds an undergraduate degree in anthropology and linguistics from Bethel University, Minnesota, a graduate degree in secondary teaching from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota, and has completed doctoral coursework at Bethel.
He and his wife, Cindy, have lived in Lincoln for over 20 years and are active in ministry, including a special needs church program. Berggren enjoys camping, reading and using technology to support learning and leadership development.
