Dr. Edward Reinke has served as professor of mathematics at Concordia University, Nebraska since 1991. Over more than three decades, he has taught nearly every mathematics course offered at Concordia and has helped shape the academic journey of multiple generations of students, including children and even grandchildren of former students.
Dr. Reinke earned his B.S.Ed. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Concordia University, Nebraska (then Concordia Teachers College) in 1985, followed by an M.S. (1988) and Ph.D. (1991) in Mathematics from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
In recent years, he developed Concordia’s introductory course in data science and has a growing interest in the evolving impact of artificial intelligence on higher education. He has participated in the AP Calculus Reading for more than 20 years and is a longtime member of the Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences.
Dr. Reinke is an active member of Christ Lincoln Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.
