Concordia's LAUNCH Weekend for new students, part of the orientation program at the university, took place Aug. 22-24. The weekend was designed to help new students get to know each other, the Concordia community and Seward while settling in to life as a college student.

Orientation events on campus for new students included the annual Bulldog Bash cookout, O-Show orientation skit and other campus-wide activities with dorm neighbors and classmates. Informational sessions and a celebratory farewell dinner were organized for parents who made the trip to help sons and daughters move into the dorms.

The LAUNCH Weekend events concluded with a worship service at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24, at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward to officially open the academic year and welcome new faculty, staff and students.
