Kimberly Peeples serves Concordia University, Nebraska as adjunct instructor of biology. She teaches human anatomy and physiology. She has taught at the university since fall 2025.

“I love having the opportunity to share with students just how fearfully and wonderfully made they are while teaching anatomy and physiology,” explained Peeples. “Through the lens of A&P, my hope is to grow their appreciation and faith as they learn how amazing God's design is. It is always a privilege to see the light bulb moment when all the information comes together.”

Peeples has a master of science in medical illustration and a bachelor of science in biology with minor in art, both from Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.

She said that there are many things that make Concordia Nebraska a special place to work, but the top of Peeple’s list is the people.

“I have never received more guidance, friendship and encouragement when starting a new position than I have here, and it is so refreshing to be around individuals that have the same values and mission,” she said.

“While teaching students the intricacies of the human body, it is hard to not grow in faith and marvel at God's artistry as my own understanding is improved day to day. There is purpose in every detail God has designed, analogous to our lives where each individual is designed for a specific purpose.”

She said her work at the university also daily strengthens her faith in Jesus Christ.

You’ll often find Peeples reading, painting, gardening or spending time with her husband and their dog. In addition to teaching, Peeples also works as a medical illustrator.

“Most of my work has been illustrating surgeries, new surgical techniques and instruments and developing images to aid in education,” she said. “I also do some animation work and 3D modeling for the medical field.”

The biology program at Concordia Nebraska is a home for students who want to pursue their chosen vocation not for the sake of wealth, but for the sake of the Kingdom of God and the people He has placed here for us to serve.
