Concordia music department features faculty in a showcase recital

On Saturday, February 7, Concordia University, Nebraska’s music department featured its music faculty in a showcase recital. The event was held at 4 p.m. in the Recital Hall in the Borland Center for Art and Theatre.  

The recital featured faculty members such as professor of music Dr. Elizabeth Grimpo, adjunct faculty member Heather Ryan-Christie and adjunct faculty member Matthew Jahnke.  

The performance showcased a variety of genres and instrumentation, from unaccompanied string bass to a collaborative piece with French horn and piano. 

Concordia University’s music department hosts a faculty recital every year in the spring.  

Faculty members that participated in the recital include: 

Dr. Elizabeth Grimpo, Piano 

Matthew Jahnke, String Bass 

Heather Ryan-Christie, Clarinet 

Dr. Kevin Madden, Tuba 

Eric Wallace, Cello 

Timothy Aulner, French Horn
