The GPAC tournament champion men's soccer team will be headed to Winona Lake, Indiana. In the first round of the national tournament, the third-seeded Bulldogs will take on second-seeded Keiser University of Florida.
The GPAC tournament champion Bulldogs have landed eight players on the all-conference teams. First team accolades went to Dominic Abdel-Ahad, Max Bisinger and Carlos Orquiz.
Down 2-0 at halftime, Concordia displayed its championship mettle in rallying back to force overtime before then winning the PK shootout. The night culminated with the Bulldogs celebrating the program's second GPAC tournament title.
Concordia Men's Soccer will appear in a GPAC tournament final for the fourth time in program history. With a spot in the national tournament already secured, the Bulldogs will battle Hastings in the title game on Friday night.
A storybook ride for the Bulldogs will continue into the GPAC tournament championship game as they defeated Dordt, 1-0, in the semifinals on Tuesday (Nov. 8). Concordia also clinched an automatic bid to the national tournament.
For his role in last week's GPAC quarterfinal shutout win over Briar Cliff, Gabriel Mendoza has been named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week. Mendoza made five saves in the win and improved his personal record to 6-0-1.
For the first time in program history, the Bulldogs will host a GPAC semifinal game. Concordia will welcome Dordt to Seward on Tuesday with a spot in the championship game on the line. The Bulldogs are 8-0-1 at home.
Both Daniel Campbell and Dominic Abdel-Ahad got on the board and Concordia stifled Briar Cliff's attack in a 2-0 GPAC quarterfinal win on Thursday (Nov. 3). The Bulldogs have advanced to the conference semifinals for the first time since 2018.
After earning the GPAC's No. 2 seed, the Bulldogs are set to host seventh-seeded Briar Cliff in the conference quarterfinals on Thursday. It will mark the fourth postseason game the program has hosted since 2016.
With a chance to sew up the No. 2 seed in the GPAC, the Bulldogs gritted out a 2-1 win over Doane on Wednesday (Oct. 26). Concordia finished the regular season at 13-2-2 overall and now awaits its GPAC quarterfinal matchup next week.
