As a student in good standing at Concordia New York, you'll be guaranteed quick admission to a matching program at Concordia Nebraska. We'll waive transcript requirements for your admission decision, letters of intent and essays to prioritize your enrollment into your academic program.

After you apply to Concordia Nebraska, please contact New York and ask them to send us your transcript so we can evaluate which coursework you’ll need to finish out your program.

Upon acceptance to Concordia Nebraska, we'll waive your enrollment fee and work with you on a customized, individual academic program plan to get you through to receiving your degree in a timely fashion.

New York to Nebraska Course Transfer Details

If you completed the academic year at Concordia New York through April 2020, find out how your classes will transfer and what you need to earn your degree from Concordia.

In all cases you will need to complete a minimum of 120 hours of college credit. All credit earned at Concordia New York credit will transfer. Credit from other institutions will be evaluated in accordance with Concordia Nebraska academic policies.

For undergraduate liberal arts students with only one semester remaining:

Concordia Nebraska will make every reasonable accommodation to help you graduate in Fall 2021. You will need to complete (in decreasing priority):

  • The remaining requirements of your major as determined by the Department Chair at Concordia Nebraska.
  • Theo 210 Faith and Life (this is not the same course as Rel 401 Faith for Life).
  • If you’ve completed only one of Rel 211, History and Literature of the Old Testament, or Rel 221, History and Literature of the New Testament, you will need to complete the other.
  • Whatever Concordia Nebraska general education requirements remain.

For undergraduate education students with only one semester remaining:

We suggest you teach-out at a New York institution. 

If you earned an A.A. degree as a part of your undergraduate experience at Concordia New York

Concordia Nebraska will make every reasonable accommodation to help you graduate according to your planned graduation timeline. You will need:

  • Remaining requirements of your major as determined by the Department Chair at Concordia Nebraska.
  • Theo 210 Faith and Life (this is not the same course as Rel 401 Faith for Life).
  • If you’ve completed only one of Rel 211, History and Literature of the Old Testament, or Rel 221, History and Literature of the New Testament, you will need to complete the other.

If you have at least 60 undergraduate hours, but no A.A. degree

Concordia Nebraska will make every reasonable accommodation to help you graduate according to your planned graduation timeline. You will need:

  • Remaining requirements of your major as determined by the Department Chair at Concordia Nebraska.
  • Theo 210 Faith and Life – this is not the same course as Rel 401 Faith for Life.
  • If you’ve completed only one of Rel 211, History and Literature of the Old Testament, or Rel 221, History and Literature of the New Testament, you will need to complete the other.
  • Remaining general education requirements as determined by the Depatment chair at Concordia Nebraska.

If you have less than 60 undergraduate hours

Concordia Nebraska will accept all CNY credits and create a plan to provide a clear path to completion of your requirements. You will need:

  • Remaining requirements of your major/program as defined in the current Concordia Nebraska undergraduate catalog
  • Remaining general education requirements as defined in the current Concordia Nebraska undergraduate catalog
