Jessica Kite joined Concordia’s faculty as director of handbell choirs in 2006. Kite is a Concordia graduate and received her Master of Music degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is a certified teacher for K–12 vocal music and K–8 elementary education and has completed all three levels of the Orff-Schulwerk training course.
Kite is a clinician for handbell workshops and a member of Nebraska’s state committee for Handbell Musicians of America. As a director of beginning and advanced collegiate ringers, she enjoys challenging her ringers to grow musically through an exciting variety of pieces. In addition to directing Concordia’s handbell choirs, she also enjoys her role as a music methods instructor at Concordia, teaching two dozen private piano students and spending time with her family.
