I was surprised by how friendly and approachable all of my professors were. You’ll find a lot of really caring people in the education department who are interested in your personal well-being, as well as your academic success.

Elementary education major Sarah Brutlag doesn’t know where life after college will lead her. “I know I want a job where I can work with children and share my love of Jesus, learning and music, whether or not that comes in a typical classroom setting,” she says. But wherever God’s plan takes her after Concordia, Sarah knows she will be prepared.

“I chose Concordia for a number of reasons,” she says. “I knew the education program was excellent, and many of my grade school and high school teachers graduated from here. It also became my most affordable option when I was narrowing down my choices senior year. The biggest reason, though is that when I stepped onto campus on a visit, something just clicked, and it felt like this was where I needed to be!”

The faculty of Concordia have a lot to do with helping Sarah feel at home and in preparing her for the future.  “I was surprised by how friendly and approachable all of my professors were,” she reflects. “I think in high school I envisioned them as being really intimidating, but it didn’t take long for that to change once I got to Concordia. You’ll find a lot of really caring people here who are interested in your personal well-being, as well as your academic success.”
