I think someone should choose Concordia because they will receive a quality education in a Christ-centered atmosphere while being supported by a community of friends and professors who care about them.

Mason Koeritz is busy. He’s a double major working towards degrees in chemistry and music. “I know it’s a strange combination,” he says, “but I want to write music for the church as a hobby and make my career out of chemistry.” After graduation, Mason plans to get a master’s degree in food science. “I plan on using my chemistry degree to become a flavorist. That means I would make natural and artificial flavorings for food. My dream job would be to work for a company like Blue Bunny and make ice cream flavors.”

Mason is also in Curtain Club, the IMPROVables improvisational group, theater performances and the a cappella choir. Even though it keeps him busy, it also helps keep him connected. He says, “I think someone should choose Concordia because they will receive a quality education in a Christ-centered atmosphere while being supported by a community of friends and professors who care about them.”
