Communications is incredibly important in order to function in society and in the work place.
Delaney Sommers has her whole future still ahead of her. She might open a coffee shop. She might become a lawyer. But whatever she chooses to do, Delaney knows that her choice of studies will help her get there. “Communications is incredibly important in order to function in society and in the work place,” she says. “I also think it is really important in order to understand people around you and how to convey ideas effectively.”
All of Concordia’s professors push their students to learn and serve. But, of course, Delaney has her favorite. “Dr. Bruce Creed is my favorite professor because he’s so different from every other professor on campus,” she says. “Public speaking class was my favorite because it was fun, and even though Dr. Creed pushed us as a class, we didn’t do busy work. It all had real-world applications.”
