Two students from Concordia University, Nebraska, earned recognition at the 2017 Nebraska Independent College Foundation O’Keefe Elevator Company Art Show in Omaha, Nebraska on April 13, 2017.

Hannah Willison, a senior, won 3rd place in the 2-D artwork category with her drawing, “Touvaille.” Senior, Jordyn Sturms received honorable mention with her photograph, “Contain” in the 2-D artwork category.

“This exhibition is a unique opportunity for our students to show their work to an audience outside of the Concordia and Seward community,” said Don Robson, professor of art. “Hannah and Jordyn earning these awards was a great way to wrap up their final semester here as students and I am confident their talent and dedication to their artwork will take them far.”

The Nebraska Independent College Foundation supports Nebraska's nine private higher educational institutions through fundraising, marketing, professional development events and advocacy. The annual art contest brings in the top student artists from colleges around the state to compete for awards.

All entries are on display at the O’Keefe Elevator Gallery located on the first floor of the O’Keefe Elevator Company, 1402 Jones Street in Omaha, and will be on display through the end of April. Gallery hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
