Symphonic Band gives concert
Concordia’s University Symphonic Band gave its final concert of the season on Friday, April 13, in the Seward High School auditorium.
The band capped off the year and its recent tour by performing tour songs as well as new pieces under the direction of Andrew Schultz, assistant professor of music. Student directors also lead the ensemble in several numbers.
For seniors, this concert marked the end of their involvement in the Symphonic Band. “This concert comes at the end of a string of lasts--last tour concert, last Christmas at Concordia,” said senior Danielle Masur of David City, Neb. “Because of that, the sadness of leaving the program hasn’t had to hit all at once, so I think this last concert just added to the good memories of band.”
