Spring concerts have been scheduled for the University-Community Band and the Concordia Handbell Choirs at Concordia University, Nebraska.

The University-Community Band played in the Weller Hall auditorium at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26.  The band brings together musicians from the Seward area with those from Concordia.

Concordia’s Handbell and Handbell II choirs will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, in the recital hall of the Music Center.

“Handbell ringing is fascinating to watch because it’s such a team effort,” said sophomore Jaimie Huebschman, Plymouth, Wis. “One person who’s very skilled can play a few bells by themselves, but to get rich, complicated melodies and harmonies it takes a lot of people who are all working hard.”

These concerts are free and the public is invited to attend
