Concordia University, Nebraska played host to more than 700 high school athletes, coaches and teachers from Nebraska for the ninth annual Nebraska High School Sportsmanship Summit on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Throughout the event participants heard various speakers and attended breakout sessions on topics from sportsmanship on and off the field to competing with character.

“We are thrilled about the opportunity to host this event at Concordia,” said Scott Seevers, vice president for enrollment management, student life and athletics. “I believe that the investment in teaching high school students about sportsmanship and targeting natural leaders in each school to positively influence their peers is wonderful for Nebraska high schools, their communities and the entire state.”

The sophomore, junior and senior students were selected by their high school teachers and coaches to attend the summit
