Premier student musicians give recital

Twelve of Concordia’s top music students performed in the fall honor recital on Nov. 10 in the Music Center’s recital hall.
The performers were chosen from auditions judged by full-time music faculty. “I was a little bit nervous walking into the audition, but I knew I was well-prepared, and I am comfortable with the music professors, so that helped,” shared senior Connie Kettner, who performed an organ solo. “There is a lot of energy, and it’s fairly competitive.”
Earning a spot in the honor recital was a prestigious distinction for these musicians. “Selection for such a recital is an honor because it allows you to be showcased to the university and the community as a premier music student and independent musician,” said senior Katie Keily. “It is an opportunity for students to provide a small glimpse of their talent.”
