New members join Board of Regents

Concordia welcomes six new members to its Board of Regents, the governing body of the university. Robert Cooksey, Kirkwood, Mo., Rev. Keith Grimm, Omaha, Neb., and Jill Wild, Seward, Neb., are newly elected to serve on the board. In addition, Dr. Dennis Brink, Lincoln, Neb., Bonnie O'Neill Meyer, Palatine, Ill., and Paul Schudel, Lincoln, Neb., were appointed to the board. Timothy Moll was reelected to the Board of Regents and will serve as its vice-chairman.
"Concordia is blessed to have these individuals join us in our mission of providing an excellent academic and Christ-centered community equipping men and women for lives of learning, service and leadership in the church and world," said Rev. Dr. Brian Friedrich, president of Concordia. "Their experience and expertise will provide great contributions to our Board of Regents as it governs and leads into the exciting days of the future."
Robert Cooksey currently serves as executive director of Christ Community Lutheran School Association in Kirkwood, Mo. A Concordia alumnus, Cooksey earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and also has master's degrees in both elementary and secondary administration.
Rev. Keith Grimm is the senior pastor of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in LaVista, Neb. A Concordia University, St. Paul graduate, Grimm received his Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1991. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Concordia Lutheran Schools of Omaha and as the pastoral advisor for the International Lutheran Laymen's League.
A Seward, Neb., resident, Jill Wild works with her husband at Wild Chiropractic and Acupuncture. She is active in her community, being involved in the Seward Chamber of Commerce, the Seward Area Development Corp, the American Red Cross and the Junior Women's Club.
Dr. Dennis Brink is a professor of animal science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received a Bachelor of Science in agriculture, a Masters of Science in animal science and a Doctor of Philosophy in animal nutrition from Kansas State University. In recognition of his excellence in teaching, Brink has received several teaching awards, including the Hollings Family Teaching Award at UNL in 1998. He serves as director of the lay leadership board at Messiah Lutheran Church and School and on the board of trustees of the Lincoln Lutheran Education Foundation.
Bonnie O'Neill Meyer is executive vice president of Meyers Partners. A graduate of Geneva College, Beaver Falls, Pa., she served as the chair of the education team for the Association of Lutheran Development Executives.
A managing partner at the law firm of Woods and Aitken, LLP, Paul Schudel graduated with distinction with both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He holds a variety of leadership positions at Christ Lutheran Church and is a board member and officer at Lincoln Lutheran Junior-Senior High School.
All Board of Regents members also serve as directors on the Concordia Foundation Inc., which provides leadership for the university's advancement efforts.
