New faculty and staff begin work

Concordia welcomes several new faculty and staff members for the 2010-11 academic year.
Faculty
Nolan Harms - Harms is the strength and conditioning internship coordinator and an instructor in the Health and Human Performance department.
Mary Knarr - Knarr received her bachelor's, master's and doctorate in history from Texas Christian University and previously taught at Terrant County College. She joins the faculty as an assistant professor of history.
Academic staff
Patrick Hargon - Previously a teacher at B.E.S.T., an alternative school in Lincoln, and a Concordia adjunct professor, Hargon is the director of ADA and academic resource center at Concordia.
Ed McLaughlin - McLaughlin has added responsibilities as a first-year academic advisor and athletic administration to his role as assistant track coach. He recently served Lincoln Public Schools as a behavior intervention specialist.
Robert Smallfoot - Smallfoot is director of literacy and of education administration in the College of Graduate Studies. He has worked for 25 years in community college administration, most recently on a grant project at Southeast Community College.
Angela Wassenmiller - Wassenmiller serves as director of instructional technology and e-learning. This past year, she was a full-time doctoral student and part-time instructor at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
Bradley Woodruff - Having served at Lesley University, Mass., in the registrar's office, Woodruff is associate undergraduate registrar at Concordia.
Administrative staff
Dina Critel-Rathje - A licensed independent mental health practitioner, Critel-Rathje serves as the director of counseling services. She has been a therapist for Lutheran Family Services and for Samaritan Counseling Center of Lincoln.
Richard Olson - Olson is the head men's and women's golf coach. Previously he taught and coached at Lincoln Northeast High School.
Tasha Osten - Having been a residential mental health specialist for OMNI Behavioral Health in Seward, Osten now is an admission counselor for Concordia.
Jessica Shobe - Shobe joins Concordia as the coach of the competitive dance team and cheer squad. She recently earned her bachelor's degree in business marketing and dance at Missouri Valley College where she was the dance captain for the past two years and served as the assistant artistic director for the Missouri Valley College repertory dance ensemble.
Devin Smith - Smith comes from Rockford, Ill., where he was the athletic director and head boy's basketball coach at Rockford Lutheran High School. He serves Concordia as its athletic director.
Andrew Swenson - Returning to his alma mater, Swenson joins Concordia as director of marketing. Most recently he was an integrated marketing strategist and community manager at Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, Mo.
Lisa White - White is the head women's soccer coach and coordinator of recreation and therapeutic programming. Previously, she was as an assistant coach and gymnasium manager at Trinity Western University in Canada.
