Meet Studia Vitae instructor Dr. David Rindt

Dr. David Rindt serves as assistant professor of education at Concordia University, Nebraska, where he is the director of secondary education. In January, Rindt will also serve as an instructor for Concordia University, Nebraska’s new non-credit continuing education and lifelong learning program called Studia Vitae, teaching a course titled “The Mission and Legacy of Faithful and Flourishing Lutheran Education.” Studia Vitae offers Christ-centered continuing education opportunities in a variety of focused areas through an online scheduled and self-paced learning platform.
A graduate of Concordia University, Wisconsin (2008 and 2021), Rindt has served as teacher and administrator in Lutheran schools in Kansas, California, Missouri and Nebraska. He resides in Lincoln, Nebraska, with his wife Kelly and his three children.
Rindt will present Studia Vitae’s The Mission and Legacy of Faithful and Flourishing Lutheran Education on Tuesdays from January 12 to February 20, 2026, at 7 p.m. CST.
Rindt’s course, designed for new teachers in Lutheran schools but open to all, provides learners with a solid foundation of the multi-century and global legacy of Lutheran schools. Participants will learn what is distinct about Lutheran schools, and what it means to be an engaged teacher or leader in a Lutheran school. Six sessions will include topics like the history and legacy of Lutheran schools, what it takes to be a faithful and flourishing Lutheran school, what is distinct about Lutheran schools and how to be active and engaged in advancing the mission of your Lutheran school.
Registration is now open for this course and additional offerings in Concordia University, Nebraska’s Studia Vitae program. Each CEU course is $150 and is delivered in six one-hour sessions. Discounts are available for program participants who are members of preferred partner organizations. The short, focused sessions are available as scheduled webinars that will also be recorded for future viewing. Enrollment is flexible and open to anyone with no prerequisites required, and no commitment is needed to take additional classes.
