Meet Studia Vitae instructor Dr. Bernard Bull

Dr. Bernard Bull

Dr. Bernard Bull serves as president, professor of interdisciplinary studies and director of academic ventures at Concordia University, Nebraska. In May, Bull will also serve as an instructor for two courses in Concordia University, Nebraska’s Studia Vitae non-credit continuing education and lifelong learning program: “Schole & Lifelong Learning (Paideia) for Leaders” and “The Art of the Riddle: History, Philosophy, Theory and Design.” Studia Vitae offers Christ-centered continuing education opportunities in a variety of focused areas through an online scheduled and self-paced learning platform.   

Bull is author, co-author and/or editor of a number of books including The Pedagogy of Faith, Digitized: Spiritual Implications of Technology, Imagine the Possibilities: Conversations on the Future of Christian Education, Prep Talks: Tales of Challenges & Opportunities in Christian Education, and his most recent book, Faithful and Flourishing: A Guide to Excellence in Christian Schools.  

Schole & Lifelong Learning (Paideia) for Leaders is designed for Lutheran church and school leaders, current and aspiring Christian nonprofit leaders and lay professionals in leadership but open to anyone, this course equips participants to cultivate habits of reflection and lifelong learning for sustainable leadership. 

The Art of the Riddle: History, Philosophy, Theory and Design is designed for Christian educators, DCEs, camp leaders, game designers and Christian creatives but open to anyone, participants in this course will study riddles as playful tools for wisdom and learning. 

Registration is now open for these two courses as well as additional offerings in Concordia University, Nebraska’s Studia Vitae program. Each CEU course is $150 and is delivered in six one-hour sessions. Exclusive pricing is available for program participants who are members of preferred partner organizations. The short, focused sessions are available as scheduled webinars that will also be recorded for future viewing. Enrollment is flexible and open to anyone with no prerequisites required, and no commitment is needed to take additional classes.
