Kurt von Kampen named NCDA Outstanding Choral Director of the Year

Dr. Kurt von Kampen, professor of music at Concordia, was named Outstanding Choral Director of the Year by the National Choral Directors Association.
Concordia Professor of Music Dr. Kurt von Kampen was recently named the 2012 Outstanding Choral Director of the Year by the Nebraska Choral Directors Association.
The award was given at the fall conference of the Nebraska Music Educators Association, held Nov. 16 at the University of Nebraska. NCDA President Matthew Harden, professor of music at the University of Nebraska in Omaha, presented the award.
“I feel blessed to be able to serve God at Concordia,” said von Kampen. “I share this award with my students and colleagues and am honored and humbled that the NCDA chose me as this year’s recipient.”
