Five Concordia University, Nebraska students traveled to Washington, D.C., Jan. 22-25 to participate in the annual March for Life, the largest pro-life event in the world.

This year's March for Life marked the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court case legalizing abortion. The students joined the pro-life demonstration with more than 600,000 other advocates.

"If there's one thing I came away with from the March for Life, it is that the enemy of change is apathy,” Naomi Kuddes said. “While it was incredibly encouraging to see the hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates marching for the most important human rights cause in the world, life and freedom, there is still so much work to be done.”

The students, members of Concordia’s Bulldogs for the Unborn group, also attended The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Life Conference where they heard speakers such as the founder of LiveAction Lila Rose, media analyst and journalist Mollie Ziegler Hemingway, LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison and author and Princeton professor Robert George. The conference covered topics such as the link between abortion and breast cancer, the laws concerning late-term abortions, the Church's role in the pro-life movement and religious freedom.

Students in Bulldogs for the Unborn also help the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center and are involved in pro-life organizations in the Seward area.

Concordia students who participated in the March for Life include:
