Concordia University, Nebraska’s Wind Ensemble will perform its spring concert at 7 p.m. on March 17, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church.

Concordia University, Nebraska’s Wind Ensemble, chosen from the 85-member University Symphonic Band, will wrap up their spring tour with a performance at 7 p.m. on March 17, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, Nebraska.

The ensemble will be performing the works of Frank Ticheli, Leroy Anderson, Thomas Knox, John Philip Sousa and Jay Bocook, to name a few. The program includes songs such as, “Amazing Grace,” “Lead On, O King Eternal,” “Precious Lord, Take My Hand,” and “God of Our Fathers,” among others.

“We are certainly looking forward to performing our home concert to conclude the tour,” said Andrew Schultz, director of the ensemble. “Our stirring setting of “Amazing Grace” and Thomas Knox’s setting of “God of Our Fathers,” which was written for the inauguration of President Reagan, are sure to wow those in attendance. I am so proud of the ensemble and all of the hard work and preparation they have put into this tour.”
