Concordia University, Nebraska launches Master of Science in Athletic Administration graduate program

Concordia University, Nebraska today announced the launch of the university’s new Master of Science in Athletic Administration graduate program. The program is designed for current high school and college coaches or athletic directors who desire to further their education, network with industry experts and like-minded professionals and earn a degree that includes both National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) and InSideOut Administrator Certification. This new program will launch in summer 2023. 

“The continued increase in participation in interscholastic and college athletics by young men and women creates a demand for leaders who can guide high school and college athletic departments in a purpose-driven culture that promotes mental, physical and spiritual growth among athletes,” said Jeremy Geidel, Concordia Nebraska Director of Graduate/Adult Admissions and Operations. “This purpose-based, Christ-focused program develops students into ethical and respected leaders who are prepared to navigate current and relevant issues in the athletics industry.” 

The Concordia Nebraska Master of Science in Athletic Administration equips participants to faithfully incorporate Christian standards and approaches for leadership, management, fundraising financial, regulatory compliance, institutional development and more. 

The Master of Science in Athletic Administration is a 30 credit hour program. Curriculum from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) and the InSideOut Administrator Certification are embedded within the program. Students have the option of completing both the high school and collegiate concentrations by taking classes either consecutively or concurrently. Dual certification is a 42 credit hour program.  

Concordia Nebraska offers a variety comprehensive, online graduate programs. Featuring eight-week courses and three start dates each year, these faith-based programs allow most participants earn a master’s degree in 18 to 24 months. To learn more about this program, visit cune.edu/msaa
