Concordia thanks LWML for its support

Concordia President Rev. Dr. Brian Friedrich presented a resolution of thankfulness to members of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League at its 34th biennial convention, June 23-26 in Peoria, Ill.
The resolution thanked congregational groups and individual members of the organization for regularly providing generous funding to support Concordia students.
“It was an honor to present this resolution to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League,” said Friedrich. “The members continued support allows Concordia to meet its mission of providing an excellent academic and Christ-centered community equipping men and women for lives of learning, service and leadership in the church and world.”
The LWML is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Now in its 65th year, the LWML’s purpose is to promote involvement in global mission work.
