On November 6-9, 25 Concordia University, Nebraska students across a variety of programs attended the annual Beautiful Feet Mission Conference. This year, the event was held at Concordia University, Wisconsin.

The annual mission conference is planned by college students for college students. The event features mission focused speakers, breakout sessions, mission group exhibitors, community service projects, student small group discussions and the chance to meet other mission-minded students from around the country.

This year’s theme was “Ready, Set, Go!” It was based on 1 Peter 3:15 where Christians are called to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have.”

The group was led by Concordia’s Director of Global Opportunities, Julie Hermann.

Student takeaways from the event included:

“I learned how to find out what communities actually need in order to serve them best.”

“I learned you don’t have to be an international missionary for your whole career – you can serve right now in short term mission opportunities.”

“I really enjoyed the breakout sessions to hear from people already doing various types of missionary work here and abroad.”
