Concordia University, Nebraska’s total student enrollment number for 2013-14 is the largest in its 120 year history. As of the official census date on Sept. 27, a total of 2,206 full- and part-time students were registered, an increase of 115 students over last year’s number.

The increase was notable in graduate enrollment where the university saw its largest full-time graduate enrollment since 2010. A total of 698 students are seeking advanced degrees through Concordia’s College of Graduate and Professional Studies based at its Fallbrook Campus in Lincoln, Neb.

Full-time undergraduate enrollment has remained relatively steady at 1,126 students on the Seward campus. This year’s incoming freshman class had an average GPA of 3.55 and an average ACT score of 24. Freshman students alone represent 30 states and five countries outside the U.S.

“I’m pleased that Concordia enjoyed year-over-year growth in both our master’s degree and high school dual credit programs. Midwestern colleges are facing headwinds that make any growth something to celebrate, and we are celebrating on these increasingly important fronts,” said Rev. Dr. Brian Friedrich, president of Concordia University, Nebraska.

“We are grateful for both the quantity and quality of students who are part of the Concordia Experience and we thank God for the opportunities we have to equip them to learn serve and lead in God’s church and world.”
