Concordia hosts second research symposium

Twenty-two students gave presentations as part of Concordia’s second annual Student Research Symposium on March 28. Students who had completed research projects as part of class assignments presented on topics including the relationship between lifestyle and self-esteem, ballistics and gunshot testing, and perspectives on education, among others.
Researchers presented their findings, orally or via poster, using either empirical or non-empirical data, or through a literature review. Nine faculty members judged and offered feedback on the presentations.
The symposium was designed, according to its student committee, to showcase “academic prowess, excellence in research and a passion for knowledge and learning.” Next year the committee hopes to expand the symposium and highlight projects by students enrolled in capstone courses at Concordia.
